Intro

We pick you from Pottuvil or Arugam Bay area from an off-road drive and drive to the ticket counter. Once we bought the tickets we enter the park's very rudimentary driving path. We observe the wildlife while we drive slowly from the vehicle. And we will stop over at a permitted place briefly to stretch our legs and enjoy your snack. After that, we cruise again a bit on the way back to your accommodation before leaving the park.Ā This Kumana national park is located about 29 kms away from Arugam Bay.

All the feared and largest animals in Sri Lanka can be spotted in this park. Leopards, sloth bears, deer and rare Rusty-spotted Cat are seen in this park. But you most likely to encounter elephants and dozen of bird species if you are a common traveler.Ā Kumana Bird Sanctuary is the most popular Bird Sanctuary in Sri Lanka.
