We should leave as early as possible to enjoy best of wildlife cab offer to us. Wilpattu National Park is located 75 km away from Kalpitiya. So, it makes you leave your accommodation early morning, at 5 am at least.

That is if you intend to drive to the park entrance all the way. But if you are willing to take a boat to cross the narrow lagoon strip to the Eluwankulama entrance of Wilpattu National Park, it only takes 10 minutes to reach the mainland.

One way or another, our driver will pick you up from your accommodation in the morning. At the entrance of National Park you will be transferred to one of our four wheel safari drives. Bringing a cardigan with you is thoughtful because of early morning wind could be chilling.

Wilpattu National Park is the largest national park in the island. The name "Wil (ponds) pattu (terrain)" derives from widely spreaded small and large ponds inside the park. This Wilpattu park is bit greener than Yala National Park also, and you can observe taller trees as well.
