While it’s known as the largest potato seed farm in Sri Lanka, it offers far more than agricultural charm. In fact, many call it the "second World’s End" thanks to its 360° panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

The scenery is framed by majestic mountains, including Pidurutalagala, Single Tree Mountain, Kikiliyamana, Great Western, Konical Hill, Kirigalpoththa, Thotupola, Hakgala, and Namunukula. As you explore, the dramatic backdrop of peaks makes every angle worth a photo.

At the heart of Moon Plains lies its highlight — the Mini World’s End. This peaceful viewpoint rewards visitors with sweeping sights of rolling hills and distant mountains. Moreover, the area is rich in wildlife. If you're lucky, you may even spot a leopard hiding among the cloud forests. So, don’t forget to ask your jeep driver for binoculars — or bring your own.

The trail ends at an elevated platform. From here, just a few steps take you to an even higher viewpoint. The experience is calm and accessible, especially for those who prefer a gentler walk than Horton Plains. For the best light, visit at sunrise or sunset.
