The adventure begins on the upper Kelani River, a challenging 7 km stretch featuring Class IV rapids and fast-moving water. This section demands strong control and advanced skills as you navigate powerful currents and dynamic white-water conditions. The journey then continues downstream to a second 7 km section of Class II and III rapids, offering a slightly calmer but still exciting ride through lush rainforest surroundings.

Between rapids, the river opens into peaceful stretches where you can relax, float, and enjoy the tropical scenery of Kitulgala’s rainforest landscape.
